Here is a light, easy dessert that is fun to make and the kids love. I've made these for my children's school classes when they have events, bake sales, projects or parties. I like to make them in the little plastic wine glasses so they are individual and easy to serve. Simply layer angel food cake, pudding ( I made some with chocolate and some with vanilla) cherry pie filling, then another layer of cake, cool whip, and a cherry on top. Voila, trifle.

I did a lesson with a group of 4th/5th graders and we made trifle (we had been learning about England for the past week). It was really fun b/c they got to layer the ingredients, we used blueberries for the fruit. No matter the skill level, the layered still looked cool. Of course the kids loved it b/c it was all sweet stuff, hah.
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious. What a great idea to put in the plastic wine cups too that way they are ready to serve.
