First Cheque

I know this has been around for a while but I just recently signed up with Checkout51. By submitting a photo of your grocery receipt, you can get $$ back on select items that change weekly. It's like coupons without clipping. I may only get a few items that are on their weekly list, but it adds up. You are also eligible for their weekly draw for $500 if you spend more than $60 on your groceries. No problem here reaching that threshold. Once you reach $20 redemption value, you can apply to have a the cheque mailed to you. And voila, here is my first :
Thank you Checkout51, I appreciate!
Off to the bank!

I LOVE FREE!!!

Join BzzAgent.com for free samples. I just joined BzzAgent and received my first sample of Covergirl Olay Effect Firming Makeup and Depuffer Concealer. They are wonderful full sized samples and also in the package there were coupons for $3 off as well.

Now having tried the makeup I can say that I especially like the Depuffer. I was amazed at the instant results having hefty garbage bag sized puffy bags under my eyes to sandwich baggy size. The applicator is really nice, smooth, relaxing and like a massage, very comfortable. The firming makeup is lightweight, smooth and comfortable as well. Thanx BZZ!

My Marigolds

I used to start my marigolds from seed. Each year I would collect the seeds from the spent flower buds and before I knew it I had shopping bags full of seeds. Then I went a couple years where I didn't use them to finding a drawer full of  seeds waiting for me this year. I didn't know if they would still want to grow for me, but I decide to blanket the ground with them. I had nothing to lose and look what I gained.
Marigolds 2014
Success!
So I had started the seeds late May/ early June and they took a while to flower. However, here we are well into September and they have plenty of blooming. What I would like to see is an earlier start but it's generally too cold for the seeds to germinate in April. I decided to do a little experiment. And lo and behold I was able to start these in a plastic ziploc on saturated paper towel.
Marigold Sprouts
These went from seed to sprouts in 3 days! I have the egg carton there for transplant later, just needing to get a little dirt.
So it looks like I'll be able to get a decent hardy start for these next year and hopefully get a longer flowering season.
