So much for a blank canvas. Are you loving it? As soon as I picked up this fabric I knew it had a purpose. Are you seeing my vision? There is an appliqued pink ribbon in the centre that I will reveal as soon as I can quilt up that far.

My Karate Champ

After a week of competing in Spain, we just desperately wanted to go home. Flight after flight was delayed, missed, overbooked, screwed up and we ended up locked in a closed airport trying to contact family to save us, finally arriving home, no thanx to any airport assistance, 12 hours later than scheduled. The most painful, experience of my life. Definitely lost the amazing race on this leg.

Never in my wildest dreams

would I ever have thought I would go to Spain. The resort was beautiful, the scenery is breathtaking, a stones throw from the beach and a short walk to some touristy shops. Ben and I stayed for a week so that he could compete in the World Championship Karate Tournament. The venue, while usually closed this time of year, was filled with hundreds of competitors from all over the world making a most amazing experience for Ben.
